Geocache Description:

Wahbememe Memorial Park (Park is open dawn to dusk) Legend has it, while in Detroit Chief White Pigeon of the Potawatomi tribe learned of an Indian uprising and a threatened attack on the settlement that later became White Pigeon. He ran continuously from Detroit to the settlement to warn his friends of the danger and then died. In 1909, members of the Alba Columba Club, a White Pigeon women's group, raised funds and community support to create this monument to Chief Wahbememe. The Memorial Park also commemorates other local heroes that "gave their last full measure" for this country as well as other local heroes that have served in the military. To log this cache complete the following three things:

E-mail answers to the following two questions and attach your picture with your online log.

1) About what year did Chief White Pigeon give his life to save the settlement? (HINT: THE ANSWER IS NOT ON THE SIGN AND IT IS NOT 1795...LOOK ON THE BIG ROCK NEARBY)

2) Who is the local soldier that attended West Point and is recognized here for giving his "last full measure" on August 17, 2007 with a monument dedicated by his family?

3) Post a photo with your online log of you or your GPS device, your face doesn't have to be in picture, PLEASE no pictures with the answers to the questions in your photos (Cache owner reserves the right to delete pictures that contain answers to the above questions.)

UPDATE: Please, do NOT send me your picture in the Message Center. Several folks have done that already. Your picture needs to be with your "Found It" log. If your log does not contain your picture, it will be deleted.
