STOKE LEGENDS - GORDON BANKS This is a simple virtual cache to celebrate the single greatest moment in English footballs history and a great man. In 1966 Gordon Banks was the goal keeper when England won their one and only World Cup when beating West Germany 4-2 at Wembley. He was goal keeper at Leicester at the time, but went on to make 194 appearances for Stoke, including Stoke City's one and only major trophy when we won the league cup in 1972. That makes him a legend in my eyes. All you have to do to claim this cache is email me with the following answer that can be answered by visiting the co ordinates listed. What is the girls name and date engraved in the front right base of the statue, by the feet of Gordon Banks? Although it is not necessary to claim the cache, I would love to see photos of as many different football fans as possible. If you post a picture of your club scarf or you in your football top, that would be brill. You could even post in your log which team you support. Under no circumstances should you post the answers in your log or post photographs of the answer. You must physically visit this cache in order to log it, please do not abuse this requirement (I regret that I will have to delete logs that do not meet the above requirements).
