Willkommen in der Robert Schumann Stadt Zwickau.

Robert Schumann (* 8. Juni 1810 in Zwickau, Königreich Sachsen; † 29. Juli 1856 in Endenich, Rheinprovinz, heute Ortsteil von Bonn) war ein deutscher Komponist, Musikkritiker und Dirigent. Er wird heute zu den bedeutendsten Komponisten der Romantik gezählt. In der ersten Phase seines Schaffens komponierte er vor allem Klaviermusik. 1840, im Jahr seiner Eheschließung mit der Pianistin Clara Wieck, schrieb er knapp 150 Lieder. In den folgenden Jahren entwickelte sich sein Werk zu großer Vielfalt: Er komponierte von da an auch Orchestermusik (darunter vier Sinfonien), konzertante Werke, Kammermusik, Chormusik und eine Oper. Robert Schumann besaß eine literarisch-musikalische Doppelbegabung. Gedichte, künstlerische Prosa, Dramenentwürfe und musikalische Kompositionen standen in jungen Jahren gleichberechtigt nebeneinander. Erst nach 1830 wurde die Musik zum Mittelpunkt seines Lebenskonzeptes, und er verstand sich selbst als Tondichter. Sowohl in seinen Kompositionen als auch spätestens ab 1834 mithilfe seiner literarischen Arbeiten strebte er nach einer zukunftsträchtigen, poetischen Musik, wobei er sich von der Programmmusik Franz Liszts distanzierte. Vielen Zeitgenossen galten seine Werke als zu schwierig. Lange hielt sich das Bonmot, er habe als Genie begonnen und als Talent geendet, und seine späten Werke seien von seiner ins Irrenhaus führenden Krankheit geprägt. Doch mit der musikwissenschaftlichen Spätwerkdiskussion seit dem ausgehenden 20. Jahrhundert hat sich der Blick darauf verändert. Schumanns Gesamtwerk wird nun umfänglich anerkannt, und er gilt uneingeschränkt als einer der großen Komponisten des 19. Jahrhunderts.

Frage 2: Wie hieß seine Frau vor der Hochzeit ( Vor/ Nachname)

Frage 3: Auf dem weg vom Denkmal zum Schumann Haus lauft Ihr an einem Blau-grauen Haus mit roten Fenstern vorbei ( siehe Bild). Was steckt dort in der Fassade??

Welcome to the Robert Schumann city Zwickau.

Robert Schumann (born June 8, 1810 in Zwickau, Kingdom of Saxony, † July 29, 1856 in Endenich, Rhine Province, today part of Bonn) was a German composer, music critic and conductor. He is now considered one of the most important composers of the Romantic era. In the first phase of his work he mainly composed piano music. In 1840, in the year of his marriage to the pianist Clara Wieck, he wrote nearly 150 songs. In the years that followed, his work developed into a great variety: from then on he also composed orchestral music (including four symphonies), concertante works, chamber music, choral music and an opera. Robert Schumann had a literary-musical dual talent. Poetry, artistic prose, dramas and musical compositions stood side by side at an early age. Only after 1830, the music became the center of his life concept, and he understood himself as a tone poet. Both in his compositions and at the latest from 1834 with the help of his literary works, he strove for a promising, poetic music, where he distanced himself from the program music Franz Liszt. Many of his contemporaries considered his works too difficult. The Bonmot kept long, he had started as a genius and ended up as a talent, and his late works were shaped by his insane leading illness. But with the late-20th-century musicological discussion, the view has changed. Schumann's complete oeuvre is now widely recognized, and he is unreservedly one of the great composers of the 19th century.
