Geocache Description:

I am working with the Abilene Visitor's Bureau, AVB,  in placing six geocaches for everyone to enjoy! This puzzle is showcasing  Abilene's oldest business and buildings.
Make sure and check the Related Web Page above to get your answers to the questions below.
GEOCACHE IS NOT AT THESE COORDINATES!

We are going to look at Abilene Reporter News, Cypress Building, Minter Building, and Alexander Building.  Abilene Reporter News is the oldest business (1881) of Abilene. Charles E. Gilbert was the owner. Where it is located now, the structure is not historic but there is a TX State Historic Marker noting the paper's prominent role in Abilene's growth and development.  The Cypress Building is the oldest commercial building (1890). It was originally the Windsor Hotel but now its the Texas Star Trading Company. It was renovated in 1907 to returned to the original hotel look.  The Minter Building was the first department store, Minter's Dry Goods (1925). Now it has little retail shops.  The Alexander Building was the first "high rise" in Abilene (1925). It was a total 7 stories high. The building was for Dr. James Alexander, a physician, but other professionals like dentists and lawyers also rented space there.

Now for the solving of this puzzle.

First, find all the addresses for the business and buildings named above, and add them together. A=_______________

Second, subtract the year the Alexander Building opened from the year the Minter Building closed. B=_____________

Third, Multiply A and B. C=______________

Fourth, Divide C by how many stories high the Alexander building is.  D=_____________

Now, put the answer you got for D into the certitudes checker below. If the answer is correct, you will be given the coordinates to the geocache.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
