Atlasvlei Park was officially opened on 31 March 2017.
A cash injection of over R2 million paved the way for the installation of playground equipment, park furniture, walkways, a bird hide, upgrading of bridges to wheelchair friendly and expanses of manicured lawns. The construction of the storm water channel, phase two, is still underway.
Atlasvlei Park is a big park with a 'walkway' along a little river which stretches over 1.5 kilometers. It is frequented by runners, people just taking a stroll, birdwatchers, many bring their dogs for a walk, or even just to sit on one of the benches to look at the river flowing by.
This is a much quieter side of the park, but you still get the casual dogwalker, cyclist, or somebody just taking a stroll along the river. So please still be on the look out for muggles. We also do not recommend you doing this cache at night.
The container isn't big enough for trade items. So please bring your own pen.
