Geocache Description:

A cache & dash opportunity for CM enthusiasts! CONGRATULATIONS GeoJaxx for FTF!

This cache has been placed with permission from the church. The Catholic Mission at Netley is associated with the Military Hospital which was served by Catholic Chaplains from around 1863. The land for the church was purchased in 1947 for £575 and the building cost £3,000. This modest building was originally intended as a Church Hall but has always been used as a church. The richly carved altar front and side table are believed to be Victorian, and probably came from a chapel at Bursledon. You are looking for a small magnetic tube containing log book. Bring your own writing implement, and please replace where found.
