The Martician's first geocache Traditional Cache

A short walk or bike ride along the Snoqualmie Valley Trail as it leaves the Valley to head up to Rattlesnake Lake, where is joins the John Wayne Trail which continues on to Spokane, crossing Snoqualmie Pass through the Hyak Tunnel.

The Snoqualmie Valley Trail heads from Rattlesnake Lake almost to Monroe, roughly following the Snoqualmie River.  This section of the trail passes the Middle Fork, just north of the parking area, and crosses over the South Fork, a half mile south east of the parking lot.  The bridge over the South Fork is 0.2 miles beyond this cache, but is quite beautiful  (and there is another geocache there!)   The trail crosses under I-90 - there is NO I-90 access to the trail - you must exit I-90 at exit 32 to the west, or exit 34 to the east, and head to the parking area on North Bend Way. You do not need to cross any fences or leave the right-of-way to get to this cache.
