It might not seem like it, but at 121m, Clump Hill is one of the highest points in the local area. To put it into contrast, Croft Hill which is well known and has a documented history, sits at just 128m. Its view from gz is obscured by the line of trees to the north, but move towards the end of that line of trees, and its silhouette can be easily seen on a clear day. Similarly, look towards the south east from gz and you can see the spire of the church at Dunton Bassett backed by the wind turbines at Gilmorton. If you know the area, what other landmarks can you spot?
The area is very popular with dog walkers, although they tend to not venture too close to the cache location. Cattle has been known to graze on the hill, but this is actually quite rare. There is plenty of parking in the neighbouring streets, but please do so considerately. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU RE-HIDE IT WELL.
