Geocache Description:

You're looking for a small tupperware box. Contained logbook, pencil, and some small items when placed. A lot of muggles passing by. Wave at the train drivers while you wait for a quiet moment!

This cache is located near a small footbridge over the tracks of the District Line between East Putney Station and Southfields Station. A favourite spot for children to watch and wait for the trains and wave at the drivers. If you’re lucky, you’ll get a wave back and a whistle! Do wait for a train to pass by after finding the cache! The two stations were opened on 3 June 1889 on an extension from Putney Bridge station to Wimbledon. This section of the District line from Putney Bridge to Wimbledon was the last part of the line to be converted from steam operation to electric on 27 August 1905. Klutchers daughter waved at the train drivers here over 35 years ago and is delighted that so many other children still enjoy passing over the footbridge, hoping for a whistle greeting! A lot of muggles passing by; be stealthy!
