This is a micro container placed a short walk from the station itself. There is a fair amount of muggle traffic, particularly at train times, so please be discreet when retrieving. Tweezers and a pen WILL DEFINITELY come in handy.
Please note the cache is not hidden on the A470 main road and you should not attempt to park on this road to access it. Two of the station entrances are leading off from residential streets where there is very limited parking, please be considerate to local residents if you choose to drive to the station.
I believe the cache to be accessible for wheelchair users, so have set terrain rating as 1, but please inform me if there are any issues.
This is my first hide, so any issues with co-ordinates (or other problems!) please get in touch. Happy hunting!
Whitchurch Station on the Coryton branch line just north of Cardiff was opened in 1911.
Until the 1960s it was a much larger station, with 2 platforms plus another goods platform, goods shed and yard, booking office and footbridge, and a signal station.
Opposite the current remaining platform part of the old down platform remains in situ, with a row of garages built along its length.
