This Letterbox Hybrid Cache is located at the Clewiston locks, one of seven locks in the Okeechobee waterway system which provides boaters a safe passageway from the Atlantic Ocean at Stuart, FL to the Gulf of Mexico, at Punta Rassa, FL. The Clewiston lock is not needed to make the waterway transit; it is only used to visit the town of Clewiston or make use of the holding basin or marina located there.
