Geocache Description:

This will take you to the most beautiful secret beach that is accessible from land on Skopolos by bus or car. There is a small south facing sandy beach that is pleasantly shaded from much of the sun with room for only a few people at the end of a wooded cliff encircled inlet. The colour contrast of the azure sea, white rocks, green trees and blue sky is stunning. You will also find some fantastic rocks with a deep pool for jumping off. Post photos of your jumps and dives, highest wins.

A short swim and some basic rock climbing is needed for this cache. You must have old trainers or water shoes on in order to climb the rocks after swimming across. Goggles or a mask is also useful so you can more easily negotiate the under water rocks. Please take care and be aware that the rocks can be loose and the conditions may change with erosion so please make your own assessment of the best approach. If traveling by bus, get off at Agnondas and you will have to walk over a kilometer in total. A track leads off the sealed road on a sharp bend about 300m South of Agnondas. The track can be driven along in a normal car with care. Proceed along the gravel track until the sharp bend closest to the cache coordinates and park on the side of the road. Make your way down the small path through the trees to the right hand side of the inlet cliffs and onto the white rocks. The cache coordinates are at the location on the rocks where the photo was taken. Compare the photo and notes with the view and stash your stuff under the tree there. You can then clamber down the rocks into the water, swim across, climb the cliff opposite and retrieve the cache. The rocks where you climb up for the cache are surrounded by deep water so are ideal for jumping off while being photographed from the opposite cliff where you stashed your stuff. At the end of the inlet is a lovely little sandy beach. One of my favourite places, I hope you like it.
