After a few weeks off to recover, it's time to get back out into the meadows.
Today's event is planned to cut back the willows growing in and around the pond at the Reserve.
These were cut back last year ( GC6RBQY) with a view to the cattle being put to graze the area. However their arrival was delayed by water issues and the willows have all regrown to beyond cow-browsability and need to be cut again.
The attendees all had great fun last year and hopefully will again this year. There is a bit more water in the pond this year so, who knows- boats may be involved.
Gloves, cutters and supervision will be given by the Ranger- Felicity but bring your own tools if you prefer.
Wellies, spare socks (and maybe towels) recommended
Children and dogs welcome but will need to be under parent/guardian/owner control.
