Having left the hedgerows to the wildlife for the summer, it is now time to continue where we left off.
Last year (and early this year) there were several CITO events held to improve the hedging around the SSSI. Efforts made then have been hugely rewarding but there is still work to do.
To quote Ranger Felicity
"We will be working to reweave the new growth on all hedges since their laying. Some areas have suffered from being trampled so we will restore these areas with new stakes and laying and weaving new growth."
Gloves and cutters will be provided but bring your own if you prefer.
Felicity will be supervising and give any necessary tuition.
All health and safety rules apply of course. Children and pets need to be under their owners control at all times.
