This beautiful wooded 98 acre park is situated along the North Racoon River. The North Raccoon River winds along the eastern boundary of the park and provides excellent opportunities for fishing and viewing wildlife. The park has 3 separate camping areas. Area 1 has 20 camping sites, 9 with full hookup-water, sewer and electric both 30 & 50 amp and 11 with water and electric. Area 2 & 3 are open to primitive camping only. Atop the hill overlooking the campground and river is an enclosed shelterhouse with indoor restrooms, fireplace and enough seating for 100 people.
*The park is open from May 1 through mid-October. After the top road is gated off but foot traffic is still allowed to enter.
A lowhead dam provides chances for walleye, channel catfish and carp. Bowhunting is allowed in Grant Park during the appropriate seasons and hunting with a firearm is allowed only after the camping area has been closed for the season (mid-October to April 1)
Bow hunting is allowed in the park during the appropriate season and once the park closes for the camping season, Firearem hunting is allowed during the respective seasons.
