Magang Fishing Village 馬崗海村 is the easternmost point on the main island of Taiwan. This sleepy port is a relaxing place to see a traditional marine lifestyle as well as an interesting intertidal zone. There's even a cozy café (馬崗街27號咖啡館)--the easternmost café in Taiwan!
The camouflaged cache is in a hole in a wall by some steps. You can drive your car or scooter right to the GZ. Please bring your own pen; the log must be signed to qualify as a Find.
The MJ in the title stands for mahjong, a popular game in Taiwan and one of my passions. The geocaches in this MJ series relate to mahjong in some way.
The four compass directions are integral to the game of mahjong. As the easternmost point on Taiwan Island, Magang Fishing Village represents East Wind tile (東風).
