The river here is the color of the coffee you get from that place that over-roasts its beans. You’d better ask for extra room, because no matter how much cream you put in it, it just doesn’t get any lighter than this.
This cache is intended to be approached from the water, and I placed it at the edge of the water. But maybe if you really, really like bushwacking, AND if the water level isn’t too high, *maybe* you can find a way to get it. But I guarantee you will get really muddy.
I placed the caches in this series to show that you don’t have to spend a lot of money to enjoy water caches. I have an inexpensive, sit-on kayak from a warehouse store. Yes, my bum gets wet. Yes, there was a 2” minnow in my craft for a short while (it's easy to get them out of this kind of kayak!). But I didn’t have to portage my kayak today when the river was low, unlike some people I passed going the other way, who were in full-sized, sit-in kayaks. Also, at 25 pounds, I can move it in and out of my car by myself.
So what are you waiting for? Get out and enjoy the river!
