Stairways to Heaven

Located on the shores of Lake Learmonth is this reserve adjoining Hugh Glass Lane as well as Saddleback Lane. Due to its location on the far side of the lake from the township of Learmonth this place is reasonably well kept but does not attract the visitors that the other side of the lake sees especially when the water is high and the weather is warm. The lake is especially popular for waterskiing, fishing, sailing and swimming. However due to the shallow nature, large surface area (around 500ha when full) and surrounding agricultural land use the lake often sees algal blooms that close the lake to water activities.

The reserve is basic but the laneways in are of good quality and should mean that 2WD cars should get access even in wet weather without too many issues. The GZ is not far from the laneway making access easy. This is a great place for a picnic if you like the quiet life but please take home all rubbish you bring with you. 

The cache is located only a meter or so off the path. Please take the time to rehide the cache so it will remain out of sight of muggles
