Turvey allotments are owned and run by Fingal County Council. 
There are 232 plots.
These new plots were opened in 2009 after the existing allotments down by the estuary were closed to accomadate the expansion of the nature reserve.
Growing your own fruit and veggies is a very theraputic and healthy pastime. After you've sown, repotted, planted out, weeded ( nuturing all along ) harvested and then tasted any veg or fruit that you've grown yourself, you'll know why people who do it love it so much :-) It can be hard work maintaing an allotment but the benefits far outnumber the hardships!
The cache is place very close to the main entrance to the allotments, please be careful of muggles and try to keep the geo trail to a minimum.
