I was up here last year with a few friends whose goal was to ride their bikes from "here" to I-70 on Skyline Drive. I dropped them off at the trailhead just as dawn was breaking (I'll try to dig up that picture and get it posted here, it's gorgeous!). I geocached while they were riding. They made it 40-ish miles of the planned 100 miles before weather stormed up and forced us to quit. It was trying to snow on us as we hastily loaded bikes, and we made our escape down via Ephriam. A second try is in the works when weather and schedules will mesh.
