Haishan County Library (海山郡圖書館), located within current New Taipei City, was established in 1923 during the governing of Japan Empires. After ROC government took over Taiwan, the Taipei County Library was newly established in 1948. In 2010, Taipei County was reorganized from a county to a special municipality named New Taipei City, bringing the library a new name as today, New Taipei City Library. NTCL Yonghe Minquan Branch was opened in 2003 and provides reading room, comic-book area, and audio-video services.
