Geocache Description:

Stop and enjoy the tranquil view of Canada's Fresh Water Summit in a pair of the sought after Parks Canada "red chairs" and you will find the PNG cache nearby. BYOP.

Did you know that you can travel by boat to the oceans of the world from Coboconk, Ontario without ever touching land? In 2009, Balsam Lake was officially named the highest body of fresh water in Canada from which a boater can "circumnavigate" the world. To help enjoy the scenic viewing of this location, Parks Canada placed a pair of "red chairs" in Coboconk in 2015. The chairs, which are on the north side of the water, are almost directly across from the commemorative Fresh Water sign (intended in part as a beacon for tourist photo ops). With a kindred spirit to geocaching, hunting for the "red chairs" across Canada can lead you to the country's "most unique and treasured places." Kawartha Lakes has four sets!!
