S.S. Dixon Traditional Cache

This cache is temporarily unavailable.

Captain Scurvy: History of seasonal shift problems with this one. Temp disabling so nobody else makes the effort and DNFs at no fault of their own. Once the ice melts and the turnover happens, we'll verify nothing's been dislodged, corroded, or too crusted over by sharp invertebrates.

Geocache Description:

paddle and swim cache. submerged container, hidden in boat wreckage. It's there and you'll find it eventually. Tool may be necessary. Please open above water and replace

The legend lives on from the Chippewa down... 'bout a small rum-running boat that was swarmed by pirates and scuttled in this Dixon lake bay. Actually, we're not sure what happened to this poor boat. But the kids sure enjoy swimming here and they love caching, so we put the two together on a rainy Labor Day weekend. Cache retrieval can be done only from the lake...  mask up and have fun. Strong recommendation to bring an adjustable wrench or channel lock to open (3cm).
