The fourth cache in this series is dedicated to a regular caching crewmate as well as being a good friend that is in the midst of cancer treatment. We have been enjoying the trails together as therapy for his treatment and have found some of the most beautiful areas!
You will be hunting for a small, camo pill container that is housing a FTF: Geo Tattoo J. This is a popular fishing spot so be sure to use stealth if the trail is busy. This could be a slippery slope in the winter or after some decent rain so please watch your step! Also, the covering for this one may be delicate, so please replace it carefully so that the cache is not visible from either trail. Happy Caching!!
Update 3/5/18: Unfortunately, due to the recent storms and flooding, this area of Turtle Creek has taken quite a hit. I have moved this cache about 125' from the original GZ and it is now on the opposite side of the trail (hillside). I have also updated the terrain/difficulty levels, as you will now have a small climb ahead of you, which is off-trail. You will need stealth more so than before, and maybe some acting ability if a muggle spies you at GZ, for you will be visible and out of place (just another hint lol). I have updated the hint as well. Please be sure to replace the cache as you find it, to prevent future weather events from effecting the condition of the container - you will now be looking for a clear lock-n-lock. This will be a riskier find in rain/snow.
This cache has been placed with the knowledge and approval from the Westmoreland County Recreation Dept. Please adhere to the rules and regulations of the trail systems of Westmoreland County and do your best to leave the area undisturbed and beautiful! This trail is becoming busier by the day so beware of muggles!! Congrats to RICK+REESII Dog and beans&franks on the co-FTF!
