Geocache Description:

The cache is located in Wind Creek State Park near Alex City, Alabama.

Day use fees apply.

Ages 0-5 Free

Ages 6-11 $2.00

Ages 12-61 $5.00

62 and older $2.00.

The park is open from 7:00 am to sundown.

This cache is mostly easily accessible via the boat.  Howevery, if you insist and like to hike this can still be accessed by land.

This is the 2nd time a ladybug as made her home on a little spit of land in Wind Creek.  A deep hole in the geo society consumed the first one.  Sorry Caver, your map will not be not be cleared now. laugh

There might be times that this cache will be very difficult to get to if you don't want to wade or get wet. Hence the terrain rating. The cache is out in the open and should be easliy seen from a safe perch. Only attempt if you are comfortable with the steep terrain. I don't think that you can get to this cache by a large fishing type boat but may be possible by canoe or kayak.

The cache is placed with permission from the Park and has the required permit. Geocaching is allowed by the State of Alabama Park system and you need to obey all of the park rules and regulations.

Parking is allowed ONLY in designated parking areas.

There are a number of caches located in this park. (With plans to add more as time allows) I have offered a variety of types, sizes, difficulty, and terrains. If you enjoyed your time here please be sure to tell the Park Rangers as they are the ones that made it possible for us to have all this fun in their wonderful park.
