Geocaching International Film Festival Event 2017 (Newtownards, Co. Down)
This event is being held to showcase the exploits of this years finalists of the Geocaching International Film Festival.
Come along and be amongst the first geocachers in Ireland to see the finalist films (and one film from Geocaching HQ) from the 2017 Geocaching International Film Festival. Previously, you could only see these films if you went to the event held every year in Seattle at the Block Party. This year, the Film Festival is being held from 2 - 6 November 2017. The film runs for approximately 60 minutes and IS suitable for children.
While you're here, you can also meet new friends and catch up with old ones, discover and exchange travelbugs and pick up a hint or two you need to turn that DNF into a smiley.

Parking: There is ample free parking available on site
Groundspeak Souvenir: This event will be registered with Groundspeak as an official GIFF Weekend 2017 event. All attendees will receive a souvenir on their Geocaching profile once they submit their 'Attended' log.
Doors Open: 19:15hrs. To get to Function Room 2, walk past reception and on your right hand side you will find stairs and a lift. Take either to the first floor and once there, walk to the end of the corridor where you will find Function Room 2. It is signposted but staff will be available at reception to direct you if you've any problems.
Complimentary tea / coffee & cake will be provided but you are also welcome to bring your own popcorn / snacks / drinks to consume while watching the film.
Show Starts: 19:45hrs sharp (60 minutes long).
From 20:45 - 21:30hrs, we can enjoy more complimentary tea / coffee & cake and chat about the geocaching exploits we've just watched. A FTF draw will take place with the prize being a beautiful unregistered GIFF 2017 Geocoin. as pictured below.
