How many bridges can you see? Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

stevenw54: I confirmed that the geocache is missing, as indicated by ther the previous log, and briefly searched the area without success. I have probably replaced the container without logging the activity. While this may be a nice tourist spot, caches hidden under the log seem to vanish too much.

My thanks to the kind remarks from past finders.

Geocache Description:

A small container hidden off the trail and in an area where the San Mateo Bridge to the north is almost always visible, but the Dumbarton Bridge to the southeast may not be visible. Room for some small trade items.

You often find people walking, jogging, bicycling, or pushing strollers along this stretch of the San Francisco Bay Trail.   Sometimes people fish from this area as well. While you are likely to encounter pet dogs, they are supposed to be leashed. Parents like to bring small children to this area since they can experience  the waves, sand and shell fragments.

Please slide the latch all the way when closing.

The cache is located off the trail.

I do not recommend attempting to find this cache at night, but bring a light source if you do.

This cache is a respectable distance from the waters of the bay, but the rain can cause puddles to form.

There is a picnic table here, but it is often occupied. Other picnic tables can be found at the corner of Marlin Avenue and Swordfish Street. Additional parks with picnic tables can be found in parks that located on Marlin Avenue's side streets.

Congratulations to hohenschuh for being FTF this geocache, and to pps4ever for being first to find a different cache in the area.
