Winter at Cleve Cole

This winter season turned out to be an absolute bomber with big dumps of snow. Since our beloved Cleve Cole Hut got a fair amount of use, it'd be great to give it and the camp-site around it a nice brush up. So why not chip in this year and keep our playground clean?

The plan is pretty straight forward. Make your way up to Cleve Cole on Saturday morning (and collect any rubbish along the way). Once there we'll assign task pending whatever needs attention. Of course you can stay as long as you like, just make sure to bring the usual winter camping gear.

This year's winter season has far more snow than the average winter. Actually there hasn't been more snow at this time compared to the last 24 years. This means there is a substantial risk of avalanches, sliding and hypothermia. This is NOT a leisurely snow-shoe walk. You probably require crampons, ice axe and need to be able to self-arrest. If you don't know what that is, stay at home and stay alive.
