Geocache Description:

Helppo kätkö kasitien varrella. Tielle tai pientareelle ei tarvitse mennä!

Easy cache by Road 8. You don't have to go to the road or verges!

Nimensä mukaisesti tunnelin kautta kuljetettiin ennen lehmiä tien toiselle puolelle laiduntamaan ja takaisin navettaan. Vanha tienpohja on edelleen näkyvissä valtatien eteläpuolella, vaikka onkin nykyään umpeenkasvanut.

This tunnel was used in transferring cattle from cow house to fields and back. The old road is still visible on the southern side of the highway, though nowadays it grows bushes and nettles. Cows haven’t been seen in the tunnel for decades, and the tunnel is used only by snowmobiles during winter.

You can access the cache from both sides of the road. During winter the bottom of the tunnel freezes over, during spring and fall it may be covered in mud, and on summers nettle covers the tunnel entrances.

Bring your own pen.

Slide the cache out from above.
