KEEP IT DRY!!! THE CACHE IS IN A MESH BAG WEIGHTED WITH A ROCK
!!!PLACE EVERYTHING AS FOUND - CONTAINER ROCK AND SWAG IN BAG TUCKED AWAY SECURELY
As the name suggests you're going to be getting wet for this one! Get your mask and snorkel along to make spotting the cache easier, you will also be able to see some nice fish swimming around the rocks close to shore! Only attempt this cache in CALM WEATHER as waves may make your return to land difficult.
The idea behind this one was to add a fun, different cache to the Sliema area, and to get cachers into the sea! Enjoy. You can chill on the platform with a beer and some snacks from one of the kiosks on the front!
The cache container is a "Small" which you should be able to spot fairly easily from the water, but it cannot be seen from the rocks, so you're going to have to jump in (Make sure it's safe and there are new rocks underneath you) or climb down via the stairs. Cache is located around 1 or 2 meters down and will require some work to set free, so make sure you have a good breath of air or make multiple trips. PLEASE do not open the container underwater! When hiding it please be sure It is as you found it, hidden as much as possible from plain sight, the box itself floats so keep it tight!
The Chalet was first built in 1926 and although it was closed for good in 1963 it remains a prominent part of Sliema’s social history.
