This event will be held (rain or shine) at hog hollow area of Stonewall Jackson lake in Lewis County. From 9 AM to 11AM. It is a chance for us to clean up an area that is beautiful! But sadly it has been trashed (litterally) by people. To participate there will be a volunteer form that has to be filled out. Minors must be accompanied by an adult to participate.
⭐⭐⭐Please see the photo in the gallery.The event will work with the National Public Lands Day event. The cito event is scheduled to run from 9 am to 11AM. The national public lands day event will run from 9AM -2PM. There will be gloves,trash bags and tongs provided to collect the teash. 🌟🌟🌟 you have to fill out their form to participate in the clean up and the ranger will have a short talk about safety as you fill out the forms. I personally will bring a couple cases of water and have them on ice for everyone. Please if you have a kayak or canoe or boat please bring them as there is a lot of the bank that is inaccessible on foot. Please note that state law requires each person in a boat to have a life jacket. So please bring yours if you plan on bringing your boat. They will come in handy to get all of the shore line cleaned up. This will be a great chance to get your CITO souvineer for the week. So bring a smile and come get some fresh air with us.
