Geocache Description:

Event date: Sunday 24th September from 2pm!

Earn a souvenir and help clean up a woodland park. This event goes from 2pm until we feel we've done enough cleaning up - or as much time as you can spare.  This event is in the same location as my 2015 CITO event - I have visited GZ recently and confirmed it is once again a good candidate for CITO.

Cache In Trash Out® (CITO) is an environmental initiative supported by the geocaching community. Since 2002, CITO has helped preserve the natural beauty of cache-friendly spaces. In that time, more than 240,000 people have volunteered at 11,000 CITO events.  The 2017 CITO weeks are April 22-April 30, 2017 and September 23–October 1, 2017.

Park off the roadside nearby (there's a Parking waypoint on this listing), then make the very short walk to the published coordinates.  The general plan is to follow the path into the park, picking up any rubbish along the path and in the surrounding area.  My car will be parked near the gate with a silver box trailer for taking the rubbish away.

Rubbish bags, bug spray, bottles of water, hand cleaner and disposable gloves will be provided, but you should probably also bring your own drinks and snacks, and tougher gloves if you prefer them.  Also, this is a forest park next to a river so hopefully contains many animals, some of which may be bitey, so take the usual precautions.  I recommend you wear long pants and decent shoes that can cope with a little mud.
