Wolverton : St Mary the Virgin
The church was built in 1208 and superseded or rebuilt during the reign of Edward II, which together with the high altar was dedicated in the early 1280’s. It was enlarged again and consecrated in 1325.
It is accessible only by a path as it is set back from the road.
