This cache is located along the old railroad track bed. This track bed is now used for walking during the spring, summer & fall. During the winter those using snowshoes and snow machines use this rail bed. A small cache container only large enough for the log so please bring your own pen. Parking is on the shoulder of the road.
Since the trains no longer go through the Ottawa Valley, there are miles and miles of old railway beds now used for walking, ATV's and snow machines during the winter. These rail beds also make great geocaching locations. This cache container is a larger container holding the log and some trade-ables. . Please replace the cache container just as you found it. This is a winter friendly cache.
Congrads to koolaidkayla and Denzal1 for being the FTF Keep in mind that cell phones and some GPS will being you towards GZ but may say you are off by several feet or meters even when you are standing right in front of the cache. There has been recent maintenance done on this section of the trail and my orginal cache container is missing in action. I have replaced the old cache with a new one today (20 Aug 18)
