Geocache Description:

Enlightenment Series - Eva Ekeblad

A traditional cache . Your assignment- should you choose to accept... Include in your log a recipe for potatoes or a relevant story...

According to Google, Swedish Scientist and Countess, Eva Ekeblad . The Countess discovered, in 1746, that potatoes could be turned into something similar to flour. As a result, people began using potatoes to make things like bread and vodka. Ekeblad's research helped reduce famine in Sweden. When she was 24, she submitted her work to the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and became it's first female member. It would be 200 years until another female was accepted into the society.

I am submitting this on Hikermom's 80th birthday. When I was a little girl, she made us homemade potato chips. My BFF. BYOP. Please let me know if any of my caches need maintenance. Thanks and congrats to TP Conductor for the first to find and the potato recipe.
