one-eyed: Following a late arrival of Covid positive for Mrs one-eyed last night day before leaving for a maintenance trip to Marree cache I have decided that it is all too hard to have my cache maintained and have decided to Archive this cache.

Geocache Description:

PLEASE NOTE : After spending three years conversing with the owner/publican of the Marree Hotel regarding me visiting the location to photograph0 the old railway locos and town buildings, felt it would be a great spot for a cache.

The town of Marree Was established in 1870 with the hotel being the oldest stone building in the town.

Once a thriving town, when the Ghan stopped here, but now a another outback town.

The town of Marree is the pivot point for the famous Birdsville and Oodnadatta Tracks with loads of tourists visiting the Birdsville Races each year

The cache container is a Micro Magnetic Case with log only.
