Nos encontramos en plena Costa de la Muerte, a unos 150 metros sobre el nivel del mar. Aquí podemos ver y tocar una arena blanca y fina formando esta espectacular Duna.
We are in the heart of Costa de la Muerte, about two hundred meters above sea level. Here we can see and touch a fine white sand forming this spectacular Dune.
DUNA RAMPANTE O REMONTANTE:
Se entiende por Duna la acumulación de arena empujada por el viento dándole formas suaves y redondeadas. La granulometría suele ser fina y milimétrica y sus formas cambian en el tiempo debido al empuje eólico y las lluvias. La vegetación también suele ser característica de plantas rastreras u otro tipo pero que no se desarrollan debido al pobre alimento y a la misma erosión eólica que mueve y cambia continuamente el suelo. Existen varios tipos de Dunas según su formación, pero aquí nos encontramos con una espectacular DUNA RAMPANTE:
RAMPANT DUNA : It is understood by Duna the accumulation of sand pushed by the wind giving to him soft and rounded forms. The granulometry is usually fine and millimeter and its shapes change over time due to wind thrust and rainfall. The vegetation is also usually characteristic of creeping plants or other types but they do not develop due to the poor food and the same wind erosion that moves and continuously changes the soil. There are several types of dunes according to their formation, but here we find a spectacular RAMPANT DUNA: Death, about two hundred meters above sea level. Here we can see and touch a fine white sand forming this spectacular Dune.
La fuerza extrema del viento en estas costas hace que la arena remonte de la playa a la montaña dando aspecto de que "remonta en altura",esta arena golpea con fuerza la roca provocando una mayor erosión sobre estas piedras ricas en sílice y produciendo de este modo con la descomposición de la roca primaria mas arena dando así continuidad a la creación y movimiento de la duna rampante.
Esta duna es considerada por algunos la mas alta de Europa y se encuentra en la playa do Trece en el Monte Blanco, Camariñas.
La vegetación en esta Duna es principalmente de Matorral de Tojo,jarillos,viscos y caramillas. Esta ultima planta dio en la antigüedad el nombre a Camariñas.

The extreme force of the wind in these coasts causes the sand to rise from the beach to the mountain giving an appearance that "goes up in height", this sand hits the rock hard, causing a greater erosion on these stones rich in silica and producing of this mode with the decomposition of the primary rock plus sand thus giving continuity to the creation and movement of the rampant dune. This dune is considered by some the highest in Europe and is located on the beach of Trece on Mount Blanco, Camariñas. The vegetation in this Dune is mainly of Márcal de Tojo, jars, viscera and caramillas. This last plant gave in the antiquity the name to Camariñas.
