Kathy Hersh (Nashua Riverwalk) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

MainePublisher: All geocache placements must have a responsive owner. The cache owner must be able to respond to issues that come up and to submit an "owner maintenance" log to remove the "needs maintenance" icon.

In addition to the "needs maintenance" logs and DNF logs, Goundspeak also uses a Health Score algorithm. https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713

In this case, Groundspeak has sent an email to the cache owner with no response. The cache owner did not respond to any of the cachers hoping to find the cache and did not respond to the reviewer note so the cache is now archived.

The cache location is now open for any Geocacher to place a new cache, including the original cache owner.

Nashua Riverwalk

Celebrating our lifelong relationship with
our river that gave birth & name to our city!

Dedicated on September 4th, 2014 by Mayor Donnalee Lazeau

About

This boardwalk honors Kathy Hersh for her many years of public and private service to our city. Kathy's passion for the integration of the natural and built environments, and her drive to realize a bright vision for Nashua's future, gave rise to many contributions to the City of Nashua.

Kathy's donated lands, all of which contain Geocaches placed by our community.
  • Conservation Lands in the southwest and northwest quadrants of the city
  • Rotary Common Park in its downtown Nashua (One of my favorites)
  • The Nashua Heritage Rail Trail connecting Main Street to Mine Falls Park
  • The Nashua Riverwalk (This Location)

Nashua & Lowell Railroad
Just down the boardwalk you can learn the history of the Nashua & Lowell Railroad - Freight Depot its the oldest remaining railroad-related building in Railroad Square. Passengers paid 50 cents.

Location

On the newly developed Nashua Riverwalk, combine Between (Nashua Riverwalk) - GC7C52B for the Art and Nashua History waypoint tour. This boardwalk connects the parking area to Main Street along the Nashua River, the area is filled with shops, food, art, and several historical locations, access via Canal Street. On the other side of Main Street, down the Riverwalk you'll find 3 sculptures and an historical home to discover! In the summer you can find several pianos around downtown for you to play or listen to.
