Geocache Description:

Just a small public beach nestled between properties.  Much of the lakefront is private along this road however there are a few public spots - this is one.

Stick to the trails; feel free to practice CITO.

Open from 8am to 6pm - please respect the hours. BYOP.

This site is a natural heritage area which includes a nesting environment for birds and natural habitat for small mammals.  Long Beach has historically been identified as an area providing an excellent animal habitat.  The beach dunes are within the range for the Fowler's Toad, which is an endangered species according to the "Species at Risk Ontario" and this location is ideal for toad habitat.

The Niagara Region acquired the property with the vision of rehabilitating this site to its natural condition and to provide the opportunity to observe nature and access the beach waterfront.

Enjoy your visit!

Congrats to dhcmca for the FTF!
