Ex-ponte ferroviario sul fiume Pescara Traditional Cache

Il ponte sul fiume Pescara fa parte della vecchia linea ferroviaria da Montesilvano a Pescara Centrale (vecchia) e Porta Nuova.
Il tratto dismesso si estende per 11 km, iniziando 0,5 km dopo la stazione di Montesilvano e terminando 4,4 km prima di Francavilla al Mare.
Poche sono le tracce superstiti della vecchia linea, cancellata dalle opere di urbanizzazione intraprese dopo la soppressione (1988), eccetto il ponte sul fiume Pescara utilizzato come pista ciclo-pedonale.

L’ex-stazione di Pescara Centrale è anche ancora esistente e ben conservata.

The railway bridge over the Pescara River is part of the old  railway line from Montesilvano to Pescara Centrale (old) and to Pescara Porta Nuova.
The suppressed part extends actually over about 11.2 km, starting at about 0.5 km after the station of Montesilvano and ending about 4.4 km before Francavilla al Mare.
Few are the surviving traces of the old line, canceled by the urbanization works undertaken immediately after its closing (1988), except the bridge over the Pescara River used today as a cycle-pedestrian track.
The former station of Pescara Centrale is also still existent and well preserved.
