Geocache Description:

Phil May is a local artist that has over 30 years of experience painting murals.  Phil created murals throughout the community to show case the history of Winchester and Clark County for visitors and to bring a sense of pride to the community. 

You are looking for a ammo box. 


The mural at this cache location is one of 5 murals in this cache series.  This mural is located at the parking area for the Civil War Fort at Boonesboro.  The mural includes summer goers enjoying the Boonesboro beach, the locks and dam #10, the palisades on the river, Fort Boonesboro, the kidnapping of the Callaway girls, Providence church which is the oldest church West of the Alleghany’s and is still active, the mill at Lower Howards Creek which is the oldest industrial settlement West of the Alleghany’s, the ferry crossing the Kentucky River from Clark County to Madison County, and the lumber mills at Ford Kentucky.
