Jared Zeigler was buried in a rock slide while constructing a road at the end of the Sixes River Road twenty-five miles from US Highway 101. At age 31 Jared was taken from us way too soon as his body was never recovered from the gigantic slide that came down upon him. Jaren leaved behind his wife and two small children. He will be missed. Three caches are being placed along Sixes River Road leading to the location of the accident location.
This cache is the first of three leading to the end of the road where Jared lost his life. The cache is a small plastic container hidden about 15 feet from the roadway. The cache side is just after leaving the paved section of roadway and about 100 feet prior to the first bridge after leaving the pavement.
