Geocache Description:

Another geocache in the green belt in this section of Weltevreden Park. If you have not done any of Alex's before, this completes a nice walk from top to bottom.

Please DO NOT drive to the cache. Please park either just off Rooihout Street (short walk) or just off Appleblaar Street on the pavement (a longer - but so worth it walk). This cache overlooks a number of willow trees flanking the river and looks quite magical in the evening sun. We quite enjoy this section of the river where we have seen Guinea Fowl and Egyptian Geese. There is also a tyre swing which we have all enjoyed as a family in some way or another. We would recommend a walk up from Alex's 1st to this one and then all the way up to Alex's 4th, or the other way round to enjoy the green belt. We have found it so interesting how the vegetation and landscap changes from one part of the river/green belt to the next. So please take some time to enjoy this area and practice CITO if you can.
