Geocache Description:

My second hide honouring the pioneers of Ingleburn. This lovely reserve is in the middle of the “Cars Estate” in Ingleburn. Have a look at the street names and you will easily see why it got this name. These houses are part of the rapid expansion of Sydney’s urban fringe in the late 1970’s and early 1080’s.The reserve is a nice place to visit with lots of open space and a playground nearby for the geokids. A TOTT may be necessary but can be easily obtained nearby. BYOP

Not much is known about why Digger Black was honoured with this reserve. Digger Black was a well-known footballer and bowls champ of the 1950s. The Black family were early milk vendors in Ingleburn. Most likely he was a returned soldier from WWII and honoured with the name “Digger”.

If you know more I would love to get it.

Please treat the cache with a bit of care to ensure it is available to others and the CO will be pleased to get feedback if it needs to be maintained. BYOP. Congratulations to jaybeem! for the FTF in less than one hour
