Welcome to the 2017 edition of the Below Zero Series.

For the third consecutive year, the Below Zero Series is encouraging you to get out in the snow and do some winter caching.

Anyone can cache in the spring, summer, or fall; but the most dedicated cachers cache in the snow.

Like last year, there are 10 caches in the series. If you complete all 10, then you have the ability to find and log a bonus cache. In most series, somewhere in the container or logbook is a portion of the coordinates to the final cache location. However, I'm changing things up this year.

In each cache, you will find a bag of theme-fitting clues. To find the bonus cache, take one of these from each of the first 10 caches. Then, in true puzzle form, put the pieces together and only then will you have the final cache information. I would ask that, if you're caching in a group, please just take one clue from each container. Also, it would be swell if you would drop the clues into the baggie in the final, just in case I run out, I can redistribute them.

You can visit the caches in any order, as they are in close proximity. The entire series including the bonus cache should take no more than two hours. All caches are winter friendly (some more than others) and none of them are micros! The caches and their hide type should not be of any difficulty to you. Like all good snow-creations, this series will not be around for long!
