Geocache Description:

With some earthworks done by the local council, the "Gravel Rash v1.0"  cache has been turned into gravel for road resurfacing by a D7 bulldozer, so this is the replacement cache.

The previous cache is "Gravel Rash" GC6RNAA & can be found here: https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC6RNAA_gravel-rash?guid=8c5ded2a-304d-4cce-9c8c-8cc47fa3dfb6

Grab a quick cache, and then grab a bite to eat in Wallan on your way up North. This place stores gravel for road repairs, as well as other discarded junk. On the road into GZ you can still see the old bitumen and double white lines on what used to be the old Hume Highway, before the freeway was built with fewer pot holes. To access the location you must enter via the "off-ramp" or "on-ramp" at WP1 ONLY.

If heading NORTH from the freeway take the Wallan exit and WP1 is on your left. Stay to the left of the road so the cars exiting the freeway can pass easily. The entry ramp to continue north on the freeway is only accessed via Watson Street. Go into the township of Wallan, turn right at the 2nd traffic lights and then take the entry ramp after the fire & police stations.

If heading SOUTH from the freeway take the first & only Wallan exit & turn right. Turn left at the 2nd traffic lights, after the fire & police stations to WP1 on the Northern Hwy. The entry ramp to continue south on the freeway is only accessed by turning right at WP1.

The cache is small, but not too small, cleverly disguised. Pencil provided. Lid is a bit tight sometimes, TRY NOT TO PUSH IT ON TOO HARD WHEN YOU REPLACE IT so it is easier for the next person. Cheers.
