矢橋（やばせ）道は、草津宿から京都方向に約１ｋｍ行ったところの旧矢倉村（矢倉道標）から、琵琶湖畔の「矢橋の渡」に至る２５町（約２．７ｋｍ）の道。
東海道をショートカットできる道として、多くの旅人で賑わいました。
『急がば回れ』の語源になった道でもあります。

若宮八幡宮

無形民俗文化財に指定されている”サンヤレ踊り”が奉納される神社のひとつ。
応神天皇を祭神とし、社殿は古墳時代後期の古墳の上にあります。
