Suzanne R Kane Nature Preserve

excerpts from MINUTES of the PURCELLVILLE TOWN COUNCIL, JANUARY 11, 2005

Sue Kane held up the “preservation banner” here for a number of years when it wasn’t really popular and she recognized the need for the Town to not grow as fast and was out in the forefront for a number of years on that issue.

Everyone in this Town could thank her for all of the trees that she tried to save, both prior to development and after development.  She was the “lightening rod” to make sure that the proper buffering and vegetation was replaced.
