Caerlaverock Parish Church is just outside the village of Bankend, nestling between Byers Farm and a tributary of the Lochar Water. It dates from 1781.
This is a multicache, the final location involves an approx 30 min walk to get there, or a short drive. It is a nice area, please take your time to appreciate and explore it.
The final location is at N 55 00 ABC W 003 34.DEF.
A = Find the grave of Robert Paterson, Old Mortality of Sir Walter Scott, he was buried here in A801.
B = Find the grave of the Reverand Andrew Beveridge, he died in 177B.
C = Find the ordnance survey flush bracket in the wall of the church. The number is S734C.
D = D2 is the number of years he spent in his ministry here.
E = 1+1.
F = 2+1.
