After romping around nearby Simpson Park, the off-lead fun continues along Somers Trail. The playground is fenced off to dogs, but Fido can still tear around it and then head down along the creek for a bit of a paddle. The Heatherdale Creek Parklands Advisory Committee provides dog tidy bags and a water station nearby at the playground notice board. Once you find the cache, you may be lucky enough to discover additional supplies (eg. balls, collars and the like - but no food items please). There is room for regular swaps as well.

Be prepared to use your powers of stealth when retrieving this cache, as muggles can appear without warning from the creek path to the South-East!! (Leaning your bike/pram/wheelchair to “work” on it gives great cover; also a good place to do your “stretches” :) )

Replacing the cache - please read
Please don't wedge the cache too far in when replacing it, as this can damage it. The easiest technique is to stand at the creek side (the back) of the cache and ensure the base is flush and pulled in close towards you. You should then have no problems getting the retaining pin to go back into its original hole. Thanks.
